Pics comin soon. I am soooo anxious now to have my braces off. They are now officially driving me nuts. And these elastics give me dreadful stiffness, head aches and ear aches. One wrong move of my jaw shoots pain! Plus my cheek is rubbed raw.

Hey! Its been a While
Hey everyone!
Heres the scoop. Just abour 2 years with braces. Since this last post I gave up elastics.
I just had my last adjustment today, everything is going well.
February 10th, is my retainer appointment and.....FEBRUARY 17TH braces off!!!!! Yahoo!

2 Years!!!!!!!!
2 Years 2 Weeks 2 Days!
Here are my last pics before braces removal. Not the best.
I now have a permant bottom behind retainer and one for the top. Then on my braces removal day which is February 17th I will get a hawly top retainer as well.

Can't wait to see after pics! 2 years is usually the normal time for people to have braces. My sister has had hers on for about 2 years 3 months... Something like that.

About my day
It took about 5 minutes to get the braces off. It didnt hurt one bit. It felt weird as if Im thinkin put them back on again lol.
I had my first look with them on and I took a double take. I was like these arent my teeth lol. Your perception changes when they are off.
It seems like my teeth are so big and with the braces on they didnt look straight.
But when she showed me a comparison pic from day one I was floored.
Then they did more X rays and made molds for my retainer.
I have a permant one behind my lowers and uppers.
And I have an essex reatainer for the uppers.
Let me tell you about my retainer story, its hilarious.
The first try I couldnt even put it on and I couldnt talk. It was so tight. So he adjusted it again. I put it on but it was so tight and it was only 3/4 on.
When I tried to take it out I couldnt! Even the ortho couldnt but finally did.
The second go it went on completly but couldnt get it off.
The third times the charm. I can get it on but still hard to get off but it does come off with force.
I had never worn it for 2 days. Why? Cuz the pallet part goes way back to my throat almost choking me. And I feel like its taking over my mouth. So when I get the chance im going to see if I can just get the teeth essex retainer.
I will post pics of it soon.

Congratulations! They look great, you might want to keep wearing your retainers atleast at night until you can get into your ortho!
