I got colored ligs.

okay so my tech says, "what colors we doing today?" and normally they don't ask they go with the usual clear on top and silver on bottom. So I'm like well clear and...I look down and she puts a color chart up near my face. I'm like, "So I guess you want me to try a bit of color for once!" and she's like, "sure why not it's summer be different for a change!" So I'm like okay yeah it's been a year I'm used to the braces why not! I picked hot pink!! So then the ortho comes in and tells her I need powerchains and not even thinking that I just picked out pink....so now I have hot pink across my entire bottom and it looks so odd! A bit too cutesy for my taste but I guess it will grow on me!!

So I got power chains top and bottom. I was told this is to close my teeth in all around. I figure I'm in my final stages or I hope!

Meryaten I agree lol.

I am not usually a pink kind of girl but I was like hmm what screams hot summery weather!!

Next time I think I will try lavendar since I do love that color or perhaps like a baby blue kind of color. Had I not gotten power chains I probably would of requested red white and blue for 4th since I will have these ligs on for the holiday!

I will post a picture soon.

I too agree with those that say that the pink is too girlie!

I currently have baby blue and lavender alternating and it looks great! I get to have some color yet it is discreet.

Congrats on going for the color and yea you'll probably like the light ones too :D

I think that all the coloured ligs and powerchains are teenie, but I choose coloured ones because clear ones get so stained. Also, grey one is soooo boring....

I will never get color up top. I dont necessarily think it's worth it to pay extra money for clear brackets then put color ligs on top. Just my personal opinion.

But yes I am going lighter next time but technically u can't even really tell all that much.

here is a photo

I agree the "pastel" pink is somewhat girly, but I love the "Hot Pink". Give it some time you might like it too

I have been wearing powerchains on my top teeth since the second adjustment. Once I got brave, I have not gone back to the clear.

Right now I am wearing the "dark grey" because it is supposed to be more sturdy and therefore better at closing extraction gaps. We will know if is working when I go back next week. If the theory is true, no more colors for awhile :( - at least on top!

I think your teeth look good!

Very pretty :D

I have SL brackets so I don't think I'll get the chance to experiment with color.

Funshine: Maybe you will get to have color if you ever have to wear a powerchain :D That is the time I get them.

LithpingLitha Thank you!

funshine you may. I really didn't think I'd get color but I'm glad she convinced me. I figured I waited long enough. I just didn't want to draw attention to my teeth anymore but I figure at this point everyone is used to my braces they don't care. Infact I went out with a bunch of friends and coworkers on friday night and not one person mentioned the color when I told someone about it they were like, "oh cool I didn't even notice!"

So I'm going to probably continue with color on the bottom. Although I hope I don't need powerchains from here until the end. I'd like to get red/green for Christmas and perhaps orange and black for halloween  [/b]

How cute! There is nothing wrong with a little color now and then :) I don't get colors at all because I am in Damon's... without powerchains, as of yet, so I really miss them!!

Thanks for the info! I probably will have powerchains some time or another. I don't have any gaps, but I have a rotated tooth. So I guess I may get to experiment with color, too.
