Hey Rebelda!

I was here earlier, but apparently, I forgot to post a message. Either I am just a little absent minded or perhaps I passed out at my computer from shock over your new torture elastic configuration and I just came to. :D

YIKES! I am so curious how and why individual orthos choose different methods to correct the same issue. I had a similar issue. You are going to see your ortho tomorrow, right? Well, it's very encouraging that you can feel it working already----maybe it won't be much longer!
Braced 5-30-07 for 18-24 months

so yeah...sorry about the delay, but I did have my appt on Monday and here's how it went:

"2 more weeks"

sucks, but if it makes me ready for surgery sooner, then I'm all for it. So March 5 is the next appt, hopefully it will bring some good news. I'll try to post some update pics soon, for you guys and for me to track my molar movement. Ok, gracias!

6 more days....and it can't come soon enough! I am really getting fed up with the elastic. My tongue has been rubbed raw and my mouth is constantly dry. I really really hope that it don't have to use it anymore after my next appt.

Thank you to those with encouraging words---I'm trying to hang in there...but it's getting tough. I'll be ok--oh and did I mention I caught a nice flu bug going around my workplace? Yeah it's fun. Imagine trying to sneeze with this thing in your mouth? Oh man--stuff just goes flying everywhere! Fun Fun. I've been in bed for a couple of hours and I plan on getting some much needed rest. Hope you guys are doing better than I am....till the 5th! Peace.

Finally my appt day has come!

Very short visit today--some good news, some bad news. Bad news: I still have to wear the elastics. Good news: I got the go-ahead to book my appt with my surgeon for a consult. The ortho said that everything looked great and we should be right on point by the time I see my surgeon. I did call today to make an appt w/ my surgeon and as it turns out, I won't be able to see him till April 17th. He is a very busy man and it sucks. Oh and I also caught wind of him leaving in July. My ortho was the one who told me--he thought maybe I knew...not so much. WIth that said, I think I may take a vacation. It's been a while since I've been back home in Cali. I'll spend my one year mark there, hopefully. I do hope that maybe my ortho can pull some strings to get me in the surgeon's office sooner. That would be nice, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I'll let you guys know if anything comes up. Hasta luego!

Still wearing those darn elastics. It’s become a whole lot easier on my tongue…I’ve even been doubling them up. Still feel like the molars are moving, so that’s a good sign. My ortho appt is coming up on Wednesday, so I’ll post then if there is any change in plan. Enjoy!

Miss Smiley:
My wire is clipped to allow my molars to level back out after over correction by ortho. My OS requested this so he can perform the 3 piece Lefort.

Your teeth look great!!! I am still amazed everytime I see your criss-cross elastics. Have you had to replenish your bags of elastics yet?
