Thanks for the continuing support everyone, when I'm feeling a bit down it really helps to read the comments on here. I'm off work ill today, I think I may have freshers flu, I guess thats the price I have to pay for choosing to go back to uni and study!!
Here are the pics from after my adjustment, vs a few weeks ago.
Jt2lang - Thanks for the virtual soup i'm feeling much better now! Karen - in only a few weeks I can see the space is pretty much big enough to bring the other tooth forward now, I can't wait for the next adjustment!!
And here are some progress photos: day 43 to day 76
Hey everyone, I had another adjustment yesterday! I still have the spring but I also now have a catopault round the wayward tooth... The adjustment went fine, a little uncomfortable but no major problems, I got home managed to eat fine and then went to bed..... Then the pain set in, I kept waking up to agony in my mouth every few hours and when I got in the morning I looked in the mirror and now I can see why!!!!!
look at all that movement in just one night!!!!
Sorry about the blurry pic...
Smiley and Karen - I know I'm amazed by the movement... its worth the pain when you see those kinds of results...
Cleo - My ortho put a bracket on the back of the wayward tooth, he then put on a catopault that bracket which then wrapped round that tooth and comes either side and attaches to each tooth either side, its like an elastic band constantly putting pressure on the tooth and pulling it forward. I also have a spring pushing the teeth either side apart to make space to pull the wayward tooth into. the pain has subsided a bit today so I think it has settled down... i doubt i really need 6 weeks until my next appointment... but ortho knows best....
Hey wow, just want to say that everything looks great. My extraction gaps are still quite fresh, and I can't wait for them to close up as much as yours have! And I'm really sorry you had such a bad experience with the extractions, they really shouldn't have been anywhere near that messy.
Glad to see you've got that wayward tooth lassoed. Look at it go! But all the movement overnight sounds really painful! But I bet your glad to see the results. And those gaps are closing really fast too! Congrats!! You're going to be done in no time!
