Thanks

Thanks you KK, bracedagain, I been doing ok, I can eat better now, like pizza, mac and cheese, soups, breads, anything soft now. I can yawn without hurting.

The neat thing about sores in your mouth they quickly healed up. Once I put the wax there to prevent my cheek from the wire.

I asked people if the wax there looks bad but they all said they didnt even notice! Just that I got braces :)

One of my friends says she already sees a change on my front 2 teeth.

Update

Update

I went for my 2 week appointment. Arrived at 8:45 am, waited 10 mins then I sat down for another 10 mins. Then the ortho came and just checked my teeth and said I was showing progress.

My next appointment is in 2 months on April 24th, thats when the hardcore stuff will be done.

I heard of them say a 60 and 61 ortho lingo :? The code on my reminder of appointment slip says its a BONDING2. 45 mins. What ever that means. I think theres and archwire switch involved.

Yeah so I am doing good. The wire is still cutting into my lip. But it heals up when I put wax there. Then I take it off for 3 days and it starts cutting again.

My teeth are not as sore and sensitive, just hard to bite ibto stuff like cookies, stuff like that. But I can eat anything pasta, and everything that was soft.

As I was exiting the orthos office, 2 ambulances showed up. I even held the door for them, probably someone had a heart attack, but I wasn't there long enough to see the details. (Just a little excited moment for the day) lol

Bite

#63 Post by chillin-in-grilz »

I can bite with my front 2 teeth into something semi hard but soft. I mainly use my left side back teeth, the side that dont have that long wire across.

The wire is bugging me so much. Now I can what ever. Still some differculty chewing becuz of the wire that cuts into my cheek.
The only thing thats bugging me now is when I eat food gets stuck. I guess evryone has the problem:)
When I had an emergency ortho appointment 1 week ago, the wire fell out on my right side lol. Plus they had to clip some wire.
I assume since they had to do that my teeth are moving. I think that tooth on the top is moving but Im not sure, its very slight if it did move.
The ortho said that my teeth will show changes in the next 2 months before my 1st adjustment. Then Im getting bonding or what ever. I assume its going to be a differcult adjustment becuz the secretarys said that they are working me hard lol.

Yeah, that long piece of wire at the top is the only thing that bugs me. Ppl say you get used to it but how can you if the wire is cutting into your cheek? When I put wax on it the cut heals in a day or so, but then 3 days later its rubbed raw again.

Some dental jokes

A friend of mine went to the dentist recently. He commented that it must be tough spending all day with your hands in someone's mouth. He said, "I just think of it as having my hands in their wallet."

Actual Names of Practicing Dentists
Dr.Pullman, Dr.Filler, Dr.Fear, Dr.Rensch (pronounced wrench), Dr.Pick, Dr.Tusk, Dr. Drewel (pronounced "drool"),
Dr.Tucek (2thChk), Dr.Chu, Dr.Shugar, Dr.Pic, Dr.Pang, Dr.Butcher, Dr.Harm, Dr.Hurter, Dr.Toothaker, Dr.Lynch,
Dr.Root, Dr.Nasti, Dr.Paine/Payne/Pain (15 entries but notably Dr.Daryl B Payne = "There Will Be Pain"),

Hey, BF2006 :)

Thanks for the nice comment you left for me!

I had actually already taken a look at your story, but I don't post a lot of comments because I'm usually at work when I'm looking.

Great progress, though!! That canine looks like it's really trying to come down!
