Another post so I can get pics of both molars on. They stick out a bit if you can see.

That's great progress desertd...teeth are looking so good I would hope that extractions aren't even a consideration at this point!

All the Best,

Jethro

My ortho was talking about putting my top teeth in an wide-arch wire so I bet he's going to try to tip them out a bit next. That would create some more room I bet so I hope that means extractions are off the table.

Night before my next appointment. Molars have moved quite a bit in just six weeks. Will post an update tomorrow, expecting some upgrades.

I am now officially in the rubber band club. Got hooks on the back of my top first molars, wearing elastics between those and the brackets on the bottom first molars. Also got put in a .019x.019 extra-wide wire to tip my top teeth out some more.

OFFICIAL 13 Month update:

Appointment got pushed back a couple of weeks due to Corona. Currently scheduled for May 7; hopefully that will hold.

Top wire and rubber bands appear to be working, as far as I can see. Pics in the next post.

Should update. Was able to get in last week; got a steel wire on bottom. Still in the crossbite bands. They must not only be doing their job on bottom but also on top. I'm developing a nice little gap between my front tooth and one of my laterals, and also between several of my bottom teeth. The pic predates my appointment by a few days so is a couple of weeks old but it shows the gaps. Making room for future adjustment I'm sure; I still have an overbite and my midline is off.

For some reason I'm noticing my remaining imperfections more and more; if you would've asked me a year ago I would've been overjoyed with my teeth where they are at. I am very pleased but I'm paying for this and I want them as perfect as they can get. Is that wrong of me?

Better, updated views of the gaps. Are the gaps on bottom getting larger in ~2 weeks?

14.5 month update. Not uploading a pic since not a lot of changes, up front anyway. Adjustment last Thursday. Ortho put a bend in my bottom wire to get one of the molars in place, feels like it has worked already. The other is in place. Still in crossbite bands, guessing to help secure the molars in place and tip out the top arch a bit. Appointment at the end of month; kinda excited to see what happens then since my molars are in place or should be by then.

Posted a more detailed 15.5 month update today on the main board. Figured I'd at least do a comparison on this thread.

Hard to believe my teeth were that bad before!

Found an old pic of my teeth before braces the other day. No wonder my teeth hurt; that one lateral stuck out A LOT! This pic even caught one of my wonky bicuspids.

Got a power chain on top today! Still in the crossbite bands but the ortho says my molars on bottom are about where they need to be. I think he may either be making sure they're stable or taking it easy on me and doing one thing at a time, which is ok. I'd like to get done but at the same time I'm kinda enjoying my braces and have had few problems with them.
