I am SO beyond excited! I finally have made my appointment to get my braces on! Eeeek!!

I am 23 and have been wanting/needing braces for a very long time. I have crowding and a Class II, Division II overbite. Of course, braces are expensive, and so I was not able to get them as a child. I recently graduated college, and got my first "big-girl" job. Best part about it? Dental insurance!! Hooray! I have Delta Dental and they cover $1,500 of orthodontics. Not much, but it will certainly help make a good dent!

After getting consulations at 3 different orthodontists, I have made my choice and finally have enough of a down payment to afford the monthly payments! I actually went with the most expensive plan, because their office and technology were the most up-to-date, and they were the most flexible with the payment plan. I will be getting Damon braces on top and bottom, 2 extractions on top during treatment, TADs, and elastics at some point.

I go in on March 6th!! I cannot wait!!

I have Delta Dental as well. Mine only pays $1,000 though. Lucky lol!

Congrats on starting your braces journey! I am also 23 and just had braces put on a month ago...that's awesome that your insurance covered some of the cost

Thanks KaylaChristine! And hey, we're both lucky, I hear of a lot of people whose insurance doesn't cover ortho at all!

Thanks StephCSun, I was super pumped when I found out they would cover ortho for adults. As soon as I got my coverage booklet from DD, I read it cover to cover! Nerd status, I know lol I was just so thrilled to know that I would have some help getting braces when the time came.
