Your teeth look fantastic. Congratulations. Don't worry about the retainers, you will quickly get used to them.

Thank you all so much!

Still getting used to the bonded retainers. They're really just not comfortable at all
Had Damons (ceramic upper, metal lower) from June 27, 2013 - January 20, 2015
15-18 month sentence, official time in braces was 18 months, 3 weeks, 3 days

Hey chichi! How has brace free life been now???? How are the bonded retainers??? I'm 4 weeks out and am really not looking forward to getting one put on for life.......

Hope you've eaten lots of hard foods and enjoyed not getting food stuck in your teeth ahhaha! Later :)

It's been fantastic! I still don't like the bonded retainers, but I'm used to them now. Things get stuck in them and I have so much trouble flossing, so it's not all that different from having braces. I also have my clear essix-like retainer that I'm currently wearing 24/7 (except when eating or brushing).

I have an appointment in April for a retainer check, at which point I should be switching to wearing it only at night.

I had a pretty bad lisp with the expander I had last year but even with that I was able to stop it after a couple of months. You don't have a metal cage in the roof of your mouth so you will be sounding totally normal very quickly! :)
