lol Gilly! A teethlet

It's funny I didn't experience as much pain from the powerchains and elastics as I expected...but it was pretty bad for the first few days. It has settled down now but now my teeth are starting to close the gaps and brushing my teeth is very painful (my husband hears me screeching and yowling all the time). It's also randomly difficult to eat depending on which teeth are moving (particularly my molars).

It's hillarious Gilly I thought that getting brackets off would be bad too but I never even knew what was happening until I got home and worked it out! I remember getting the brackets taken off the teeth that needed to be extracted (a few months back) and I was waiting for him to take them off and he goes 'right, off you go' and I'm like 'you've taken them off???? I thought you were just taking the wire off!'...

My holidays were great thanks! I went to the beach which is a rarity for me (I live inland) so it was a real treat!!

Hope you're having a great week!

My wires have still not been cut and they're burying their sharpness deeper and deeper into my cheeks :( I haven't been able to get them cut because I've been running a fever and enduring some sort of strange virus! :-+

The great news is: tomorrow is adjustment day!! I was too sick for my dentist appointment on Monday (for a clean) but thankfully I should be fine for my ortho appointment tomorrow!! I haven't been this excited for an appointment since I first got my braces on!!!

My teeth have been moving A LOT and my left bottom extraction gap is getting so small!! The others are getting smaller too but are not as impressive!!

My right front tooth is looking wonky at the moment...I'm hoping the ortho will fix it up tomorrow!!

My right extraction gap has been giving me ENORMOUS nerve pain for the last week or two. If I have anything colder than luke warm, it shoots pain through my face and brings tears to my eyes!!! Thankfully I think it is going away on its own... it happened a few weeks ago on the other side and then disappeared so with any luck it will ease of soon!! :ouch:

Colour: The silver is going tomorrow... so my husband has suggested red for my next colour! Let's see how that goes :)

Anyway, I hope all is well with everyone!! I shall update you when I get the chance after tomorrow! :jump: :jump:

CC!!
I hope you feel better soon!!!! I am glad that you will finally get those wires taken care of tomorrow. I think the red will look great on you!!! I loved red when I had it. I also hope that nerve pain gets better soon for you. I can't wait to see how the extraction gaps are starting to close up for you. Well until next time my friend get better and enjoy those wire clippings!!!

Thanks for your kind thoughts Kimmie :-* and here is my latest update:

Update 4th Adjustment

My wires have been clipped!!! HOORAY!!! :) :) (now I can stop complaining ;))

So apparently my gaps are closing up nicely!! 5 mm movement on lower left, 4 mm on right upper and lower and 3mm upper left.

He kept the same wires, changed over the powerchains and that's it my friends! He said it will be fairly boring for a while now... oh and I'm still to wear my rabbit elastics (4 of them) which is leading to my rabbit elastics breeding in my bag (I think I'm up to 4 packets now!!) lol!

So without further ado, here are my pics:

Thanks Kimmie and Tobilei! I'm imagining that we will all be smiling like this next year some time:

I'm amazed at how quickly we're all progressing!!! Still lots to be done over the next 12 months (or more?) but it is just so awesome that we can already see a huge improvement! (makes it worth the pain :))

Hey Everyone!!! :-*

Update 5th Adjustment

Hooray!! Another adjustment over and done with! I managed to get in a few days early because I needed my wires clipped.

So he changed my bottom wire to match my top wire.

Replaced my powerchains (I chose aqua :) )

and said I no longer need to use elastics because there are only small gaps remaining!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :jump: :singing: WOOOHOOOO!!! :)

Apparently I am well ahead of schedule and my ortho was expecting me to still be in my braces well into next year but he said that at the rate I've been going I will have them off by the end of the year!!!!!!!!!!! You wouldn't believe how excited I was to hear that!

At my next appointment I will be getting brackets put on my back 4 molars...!

Anyway without further ado here is my most recent photo:

Thanks Tobilei :) Although I think the aqua p/chains makes my teeth look whiter than they actually are ;)

Your teeth are coming together beautifully too!! It is such an amazing journey :) And couldn't have asked for better friends on this forum to share it with! :)

CC!!!!

Girl your teeth look great!! Its amazing at the rate our teeth are moving. My ortho also said that I was moving at a faster rate than he thought. I really love your aqua ligs. I think I may get that color on April 2nd. I also had teal and fell in love with that color!! Glad to see everything is going well!!
