Ahh........How are you doing?! You have a plateful right now. You're right, my gaps are tiny compared to what you're faced with. Let's just hope we both get the easy way out.

ceramic brackets and rectangular arch wires

I am 23, and in June I had the exact same tooth exposed, however I also had all 4 wisdom teeth taken out at the same time.

I was surprised at how common it is for that tooth not to come down.

The black string and gold chain is exactly what I had.

After my surgery I went to my orthodontist a week later and he put a metal spring-like device in the top of my mouth that connected to both back molars and the canine.

That gradually pulled the tooth down far enough so that he could put a bracket on it and use a rubber band (which I still have) to pull it down further. In a few weeks he will take that off and attach a regular bracket on it and connect it to the wire with the rest of my teeth.

You will be amazed at the results, it's really cool to see it come down each week.

How is your orthodontist pulling your tooth down?

Hi Jeni,

Your teeth are looking great! And that's fantastic to hear that you're not in any pain. I hope it all keeps going this well for you :)

Jeni, I don't know how I missed out on your canine exposure  I'm so sorry.

I hope intensive care unit soon gets the hint and pokes his nose out in time for 2008.

Have a great Christmas

Happy Anniversary Jeni :D It's good to see you back, and I'm glad your hard work has paid off and you can stay home a bit more and let others do the running round.

Now all we need is for intensive care unit to stick his head out and say hello!

Your teeth are looking good jt2lang. I am so jealous of your nice wide arch :D
I never thought I would be so fascinated looking at other people's teeth...but I love looking at their progress.
