I thought I'd post here to share my progress, especially the emergence of my upper lateral incisors. Today marks 18 days of braces and they have become more visible, thanks to the springs(see pic)... Hopefully at least 1 of them will be wired in on April 3rd when I get my first adjustment. As of right now neither is wired-in. I don't mind the springs but they stick out further than my teeth do so it took a few weeks to become accustomed to them.
Will post more soon!

I bet they will come out soon! My laterals were also pretty hidden, and they are now in line after just about 2 months! I did not have springs, my ortho just put a wire on.. and let me tell you- it HURTTT for a few good weeks.
Wow that is awesome progress, KJ!!! Great pics! I will be posting pics regularly so that you (and everyone else here) can see my progress...
Hope everything goes well with your treatment!

Three weeks into braces and the lower left molar band becomes loose when I yawn. The scary noise it made was a kind of *CRACK!* so I thought I broke a tooth. The rubber bands (as shown) connect the upper inner molar band to the lower outer molar band. And because they are connected my yawn pulled the band out of place. Apparently my lower teeth have a wider bite than my uppers and so these will help "line up" my bite. So I have to go to the ortho tomorrow to re-cement it.

Hey... Your teeth are coming along great ... I also have hidden laterals. You can only see half of each one. It's really inspiring to see other people's teeth changing so much. I can't wait until I get braces.
Well, Victor, I guess you really did like the gold ligs! They do look good-- so we both have our Rolexes in our mouths. I continued with the gold for my 2nd adjustment-- just posted the pics (bracket club)-- thanks to your coaching on how to do it. Your laterals really are coming out of hiding! Pretty awesome, isn't it, how all of this works.
Thanks to KK, cas4god, Lisa65, and smallbutmighty for your kind words and encouragement!
I know I mainly wanted to focus on how my laterals are slowly but surely lining up but I thought I'd also show all my teeth as an added bonus.
Enjoy!

<== From 1 month ago... do you see any progress yet? If you look closely you can see how my lower jaw/bite is narrower... I guess those elastics in the back really DO work! (I just wish I had figured out how to use the macro feature back then.
