Happy Belated Birthday!! WOW, you've been through quite a bit already! I hope it only gets better from here on out. Has your Ortho. emailed you your pics yet? Can't wait to see them. Be sure to take your own pics every few weeks too. I think you will be able to see your progress more with pics every few weeks.

OK, so I still haven't received my "Before" photos from my ortho and I know you are all anxious for pics so here's my pics that were taken 3 weeks after my extractions. I had my four second premolars (all baby teeth) extracted. The top two were fused to the bone, therefore, they were "sunken" and only half the height of the surrounding teeth. My bottom two were possibly fused to the bone (also sunken) and they were about 2/3 the height of the surrounding teeth. My top left wisdom tooth (partially erupted) was also extracted - if you look closely, you'll just barely be able to see that hole.

Here's my lovely smile! I was always self-conscious about my smile but I never let it stop me from smiling with my mouth open!

Profile of my front teeth! They are at a 90-degree angle and should be at 110-degrees.

Bottom arch! (YIKES

- bottom molars look awfully yellow! They don't normally look like that.)

As you can see, I finally figured it out. They uploaded correctly at work. I think it has to do with the caching!! Stupid computers!!

Actually purple is my favorite color but pink almost ties it! I thought being my avatar is in pink, I should use a pink font to match it!!!

Gotta have fun when I can! I'm kinda glad I DON'T have self-ligating braces. That definitely takes away some of the fun! SORRY!!

No "BEFORE" pics yet from my ortho. I think I'm going to call them. I've given them enough time!

I PROMISE, my brace pics will be up soon!

What a fabulous beauty mark! You're right, same as mine. Congrats on your Brace day too! Hopefully when this is all done, the mark will draw even more attention to our beautiful straight teeth.

Braces are hurting a lot, but i'm pulling through.

Yep, told you! How cool is that?! I've never seen anybody else with a beauty mark like mine!

That's too bad the braces are hurting a lot! I didn't have to go through that - YET! I'm sure my time is coming!

Make sure you're taking pain reliever and do the salt water rinses - they soothed my mouth!

Yeah, I would have preferred only one extraction!

Five is a lot but I've read on this forum of others having more than that!

(As a teenager, I also had three extractions!) Lucky you to only need one! Yep, doing good now! Thanks!!

Hi Missfashionista ~

Yep, I'm feeling much better today. None of my brackets have been bothering me. Just a few tender teeth when chewing. The wires are no longer cutting into my cheeks, THANK GOODNESS, but I do seem to have permanent grooves in my cheeks!

They just feel weird when I run my tongue over them and look funny! I hope they go away!

Good to read that you're feeling better. Braces still feel weird in my mouth, but I'm getting used to them slowly. Hopefully soon, they'll feel normal.

I tried my first salt water rinse yesterday. I think my mouth is feeling better thanks to it.

and haha. no worries about double, triple, or quadruple post. I'm so girly, pink is one of my fave colors anyway. I definetely don't mind seeing more of it on my page ...

....however if you had double posted in an unflattering shade of olive green, i might have had a problem... haha jk

SORRY! I've been MIA for awhile. No particular reason - just life being busy!

My Ortho finally posted my "Before" photos from my records appointment to his web site. So I thought I'd share them with you.
