Thanks guy for your kind words!

I was going to take some more snaps today, but my batteries died in the camera.

Just had a really quick visit to the ortho this morning, i have a really terribly flu, i'm at the uncontrollable coughing stage. First thing i said to the ortho was ' i'm going to have to warn you i have an uncontrollable cough', and he's like ' oh well just let me know before you cough, so i can steer clear'. But the funny thing, i did'nt cough once when he was adjusting my braces.

He pretty much increased the length of the open coil, and he said next visit he's going to put on a stiffer wire on the bottom to promote faster movment, but hopefully by next month they'll be enough room to fit that stubborn tooth in.

Alot of room has opened up, but yet - not enough for the tooth, i'm sure the comparison photos will be great! so i'll be sure to post them within the next day or so!

Hey Jamie, thanks! :)

i couldn't believe it either! it's been so quick. I'm not 100% sure about the estimated time of my braces, but my ortho said about 2 more months or so untill that tooth will be in position :)!

so yeah, looking forward to that definitely! and lots of space has opened up now so i'm on 22 weeks now. Ill have to post up some more photos in a few weeks :)

next appointment is 14th of June.

post more soon!

Hi All!

Just had my adjustment, as i promised. I've taken new photos and here they are. Here are my bottom arch after 25 weeks! comparing it to the 3 week shot! You can see such a huge difference.

Image Image

What a difference hey!

My ortho replaced the top wire to a thicker gauge, and increased the coil length, hopefully next visit they'll be enough room to start moving that stubborn tooth in! He also told me next visit he's putting a power chain on the top arch to pull the front 4 teeth all together, that should be interesting!

Hi all! Thought i'de post up a quick hello! :) just finished all my uni exams! yay! What a stressful month! You'de think after having so many exams, since i'm 4th year into it now, i'de be use to it - well i guess in a way i am. Just some exams are always going to be tough!

Well i've had no problems with my teeth lately! no pain, no nothing! just having fun getting all the food out of them when i'm out. hehe, gotta love it! I haven't been taking as many photos these days. I use to take photos like every 2 weeks, but now it seems to have changed to every adjustment.

It seems these days they're moving quite slow with the spring in place and all. But im sure once that tooth becomes attached to the arc wire they'll be plenty of movement! The gap now is a good 5-6mm - well for having the spring in place for about 3 months now, that seems like a good effort!

Well there's my little update, be sure to look out for more photos soon!

ciao!

Thanks guys! Well i wish the next two week were full of sleep ins! hehe.

Now it's just work all the way, and lots and lots of guitar! :)

And i have noticed too with this new top wire in place, he did mention it would have an effect on the roots, because it was a square wire as opposed to a round wire - so torque can be created to swing the teeth. Engieering at its finest hehe. So yeah the top teeth have moved alot and they're looking good i must say!

Hey there Rage :) thanks for watching! Nope it's a 6 string classical acoustic. Yeah classical acoustics have very wide necks :)

And i've even been drinking heaps of coffee lately too, been working quite alot - and just the other day as i was driving home from work my fuel pump in my car died! what a nightmare, my whole car stopped - had to leave it at work over night, not cool hehe.

Finally got it fixed the next day after waking up at 5am to try and fix it before work in the rain! lol. So glad it's better, and yeah with all this coffee no staining the braces woohoo!

Hey guys!

Thought i'de just post some updates of my progress.

The open coil is doing its job just great!!

I was just going to ask anybody, with this open coil spring, once that tooth begins to move in or over the progress of the spring, will the other 3 teeth that are already in line, move out of line by any chance???? I really hope they don't.
Well, I have a coil spring as well and yes my other teeth are moving out of the way to make room and now it is all misaligned :-(. I guess it is a part of the plan.

Look at this pic - http://bp2.blogger.com/_iSOoKG3aTeM/RoJ ... 37_mod.JPG

By the way, your progress is amazing! Can't wait to get there as well.
