Tim's Treatment NEW PICS ::: UPDATED PLEASE READ 03/11 :::
Moderator: bbsadmin
Sorry to hear about all the soreness. I had 4 premolars extracted, so I imagine I'll be whimpering about power chains and elastics soon enough myself (getting braced this Thursday!).
Thanks for all the inspiration about colors! I love color of the most recent powerchain - I wonder what kind of selection my ortho will have???
Hope you're excited about all the progress despite all the pain!

Re: NUMBER OF TEETH
When I was younger I had a few teeth extracted 2 from upper and 2 from lower. Then before I had braces I had 4 more extracted but then again the teeth that were extracted Western Dental who was my dental office before I went on my own screwed up a few molars when they were doing work on them. The dentist I have now said that there was no way that they were able to save the four molars so that I had 2 options.BARRY MILLER wrote:I just noticed that you only have 12 teeth top and bottom , why is that so. I have 16 top and bottom , will u have any implanted or was your jaws too small
Option one: Have the teeth extracted and have bridge work completed at a cost of $6,000
Option Two: Have the teeth extracted and have orthodontic work completed at a cost of $3,175 (Not sure this was exact cost) so what did I do? I had four teeth extracted and went orthodontic braces. My orthodontist said at my last appointment that my gaps are closing up loads quicker and better then he had expected. He thought that there would be problems with those extractions and that there would be to much room in my mouth. Well as it turns out my wisdom teeth are coming in so I will have lots of room in the back I belive.

Thanks linda21 and bracedagain, yeah I was pretty shocked when my ortho told me your taking a break from elastics until further notice. I guess they worked to well, I have one gap that closed all the way, one gap that is nearly finished closing and two other gaps that were large gaps I think he said they were like 4mm or something last adjustment and at this one he said there like 1.5mm gaps so there is some improvement. Well off to a 14 hour shift of work will talk later.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
We will now upgrade your brain, please wait...searching...searching...still searching...sorry NO BRAIN found
Alright enough of the jokes now it’s time for the news of the adjustment. Today was adjustment number six, wow what an eventful adjustment this was. I was caught off guard when the ortho asked, “When the last time you had a cleaning?â€

my ortho's office is like yours... all the patients are treated in one large room but there is a private chair that is separated from the rest with a glass wall but the glass makes it all blurry. i like being treated in a room with everyone else.... it makes it more comfortable, i feel strange stuck in a room with a stranger, and usually i see someone i know when im there because everyone of my friends goes there... literally except my sister, which is somewhat strange.
you'll get used to that bigger wire in no time.
I remember when they upgraded my wire to a bigger size and a rectangular wire and the lady had to use pliers just to get it in and even then it would still pop out until she put a wire tie on there very tightly.. and that was the first adjustment i got rubberbands sooo yeah that one hurt later that night
.
hang in there... your teeth have a nice shape and you will have an awesome smile in the end!

Thanks sportsgrl97 and KK this morning I woke up in pain the level of pain I felt on a scale 1-10 would have to go with a rating of 7 1/2 I already did the morning salt water and popped a couple advil to help relive some of the pain. I just know the end results will be amazing.
Sportsgrl97 : My ortho assistant had to do the same thing literally taking a pair of pliers and she did tell that I would feel alot of pressure from the wire trying to get placed in.
Next adjustment is July 25,2007 just 5 days from my 22nd birthday
