yeah once month apart. I was hoping they'd be 2 but i guess one is fine my sister used to go every two weeks. eek!

I've reached the 2 month mark!

The lateral incisors have descended, but way too long on the right side! I think it looks awful, hope it can be adjusted back up soon, as that incisor is knocking against its counterpart on the lower row!!! The elastics have pulled them back, and the upper arch is now nicely rounded. =)
The lower arch still refuses to budge though, there're just very minimal changes.
My bite is completely off, and it's not due to the molar buildups as they have already worn down a lot. Well, guess it's part of the process.

2nd adjustment in 2 days!

I notice something interesting, the gumline descends with the teeth! I thought that the gumline would remain the same, and that more of the teeth would be exposed. I'm quite glad that this isn't so =)

wow what a difference in sucha short time. I hope they can get that tooth to go up some Ithink i have the same problem but on one of my lowers it appears to be poking up too much, but I am not sure I'll have to ask the orth on the 10th. Other then that your wire looks really straight congrats!

2nd adjustment today!
I got a .018 wire for the top (woohoo!), stayed with the .014 for the bottom coz the lower row ain't straight yet.

Cosmo: I have to live with crashing on that long lateral incisor when I eat/bite, coz my ortho says she'll adjust the height only when my lowers are more aligned.

It's quite mind boggling, just 3-4 hours after the wire was changed, my upper central incisor (which was previously in line) shifted and became slight tilted and out of alignment. These babies move really fast!
I hope this is normal, as many have written, that things get worse before they get better.

Yeah I am somewhat troubled by my tilted central incisor. I suppose it's probably part of the whole process, but it's just disconcerting nonetheless. I'm sure it doesn't happen to everyone, so don't worry Cosmo!

Ok, adjustment in 3 days time!
I must be entering the period in which there aren't many visible changes. I only notice further yellowing of my teeth. Ugh.

I've also developed TMJ problems on the left side, this is new, I didn't use to have this before braces. =( I've developed clicking on the left side, and subluxation of the joint. No pain at this point, so I'm hoping it won't get worse.

Wow your teeth look amazing already! My teeth are quite similar to yours before your braces. I'm starting lingual braces in a few days and hope that my teeth will change as fast as yours!

Hey Cosmo! Haven't seen an update on your thread for a while, how's Mr Snaggle tooth doing?

I've currently got a square wire for the upper row, which makes me happy, coz my ortho says that she'll soon be able to adjust the positions of the upper row by bending wires. So I can't wait for that upper right lateral incisor to be shifted!

The lower row is still recalcitrant, I don't see spectacular movement, but at least I've been upgraded to a thicker wire.

The TMJ problem is better too, Phew.

Just had my 4th adjustment yesterday =)
The lower row of teeth have finally straightened up, am I relieved! I've got some elastics to bring my bite together, and it's definitely less achy than the first 2 adjustments.
My face looks thinner, everyone says I've lost weight (I haven't), I think it's because my cheekbones are now more prominent - not sure if that's a good thing, but well, I don't look emaciated yet.
