I feel your pain Bekah, can you ask your ortho why he keeps cutting the wire on the back? right where the extraction gaps were? I know it sounds like you will be questioning his work but deserve an explanation and for your own sanity.

I will also be moving overseas, to England next May and it looks like I will never be done and I am afraid my bite won't be corrected by then and I don't have any more money to spend on my teeth.

When are you due to get them off?

Hang in there, I know is frustrating, specially when you have things coming up.

Flaka- I am scheduled to get them off on the 1st of September.

Went to the dentist today to get two fillings and showed her the gaps. She agreed that they aren't "all in my mind" and said she would call the ortho to talk to him about them!

I made an appointment with the Ortho today so that he can look at it and possibly correct it so that I can still get them off on the 1st. Hopefully things are looking up.

Yay! I love my dentist! She called the ortho and he put the wire back in with powerchains. He gave me a more flexible wire so that my teeth will still move to "fit together" when I bite. Same elastics so that is the same. He said because I called so soon after I noticed it, my deband date should not change!

So yay for getting them off on the 1st!!!

Well, had the "check" today. I am still on schedule to get them off next week!!! Yay!

I get bleaching trays made the next morning, then bonding about a month later. Then get my final retainers and will be done with all of the dental work!!!

We aren't moving so I can get the work done!

UGH! I am scheduled to be debanded tomorrow afternoon and last night my back bracket on the top left came off! I wouldn't be worried but now I can't wear my elastics!!!

I just hope that I don't have to go in to have it put back on for only 1 day! We will see what they say when I call.

Having said that, I am excited to finally be getting them off.

So today is supposed to be the day! We will see because the last debanding date didn't happen. I know that I should be excited but I just want to be prepared if they say not today.

I will post later on how it went! I am scared to death that I will have little squares on my teeth. My daughter is supposed to get her's off today too. We are going to go to lunch and bond!

THEY ARE OFF!!!

I now understand why everyone says they feel slimy!!! It is less that something is coating the teeth and more that my lip isn't catching on anything now! It is really an "odd" feeling.

I am scheduled to get my bleaching trays in the morning and then bonding on the 30th! Then back to the ortho for new retainers. Then I will be done!
