Hi Everyone,

Thanks again for your comments.

Well i had an extra appointment with my ortho yesterday to sort out the popped off bracket issue. He seemed quite suprised that it had managed to fall off as the cement is normally very good. He decided that it would probably be the best option to put a molar band around that tooth instead of gluing a bracket on so that is what i got.

Oh man that hurt getting that bad boy on  . Its possibly because my bottom teeth are still a little tender seen as though they had only just been braced. I got myself some new ligs and a nice new wire as the old one was clipped to get rid of the swinging bracket so in my mind i got myself an extra lil adjustment. Bonus!!!

So my next adjustment is in just less than a month which i cant wait for now as its been a while since he has done anything to my uppers. (i was secretly hoping that he would have a go at those as well yesterday but it didnt happen)

Everything is going great so far. I have seen some good movement in my uppers and a lil bit in my lowers which is great. I just cant wait for everything to be aligned so that we can get closing up those gaps.

Melissa My brackets are Radiance tm which is some kind of man-made sapphire according to the brochure.
I over heard my ortho talking to the assistant about my ligs at this last appointment and it turns out that i have been having Pearl coloured ligs on. I have to say that these babies have been fantastic as they hardly stain at all. I love tomato based pasta sauces and curry and they have not stained these ligs at all.

Well i promise i will get my adjustment pics on here asap. My mum has borrowed my camera lead so i need to get that back off her before i can get them on.

Speak again soon

Hi there Hannah,

Thanks so much for dropping by and reading my story. Thanks very much for the comments too! :D

I read your story and I must say, you have got some gorgeous teeth going on - you're def. gonna have one knockout of a smile! You've already had some great movement too! It's so exciting to see isn't it? 8)

I had a chuckle when I read one of your updates:
(i was secretly hoping that he would have a go at those as well yesterday but it didnt happen)
Hehehehe! I'm exactly the same... I'm thinking of calling my ortho to get my ligs changed (he said he will change them for me whenever they need it, and having the clear ones, I do tend to get a bit critical of the colour of them...) but anyway, I will be hoping (secretly, of course - so don't tell anyone) that he will squeeze in an adjustment...hehehe! We are gluttons for punishment!

Can't wait to see more of your progress! Till next time, take care.

DaneAnthony :-)

Hi Guys

Well i had my 3rd adjustment today i feel that things went really well. He said that we need to push my uppers upwards abit more and then we can start pulling them back. They will bash into my lowers if we do that now.

So i got a new wire and ligs on my uppers. I think the wire is a bit thicker than the last one so im sure i will be feeling that later  lol. and i kept the same wire on my lowers but he tweaked it abit and put new ligs on.

Well ill show you my latest pics.

Yo Hannah! Check out the way your archwire has changed since you first got braced...? It is sitting so nice and smooth - I'm miles away from getting mine looking that neat! That is awesome! You're def. doing a great job making braces look great so you should totally be proud of your smile - you're getting awesome results! 8)

Hi guys

Well i had my fourth adjustment on Friday and things went really well.
He only did adjustments on my lowers this time as he said that they need to catch up with the uppers abit more and then we will start pulling them all back.

He replaced my lower wire with a slightly thinker one and said that "this will get them sorted" so i was expecting some pain after that and boy did i get some. My lower teeth have straightened up alot compared to how they were at the start.

I really cant wait to start pulling my teeth backwards as i know that is when i will see more changes, so fingers crossed that we can start pulling them back at my next adjust.

I havent taken any new pics yet as ive been busy landscaping my garden. It starting to look really nice now so i know its worth all the effort that my other half and i have put in.

I promise i will get my new pics on here soon.

Ken, Thanks. I am alot more confident than i used to be about my teeth but sometimes when i see someone that i havent seen in a while i go all shy again. Just me being silly really, lol.

Dane Thanks for your lovely comments, though i have to say that your teeth are looking great too!!

Ellie
Thanks chick, i am quite please with the colour of my teeth at the mo, using a whitening toothpaste and that fancy listerine mouthwash which is supposed to sort out everything in your mouth, lol

Wow a mini cooper, i am super jealous, i have always wanted one of those. Ill just have to settle for my lil Yaris for now though, lol she aint too bad really.

Ill be back again soon

All the best

Hi everyone

Well its been a while since i have been on here and im sorry that i have been so rubbish. We got our garden finished and its been really hectic at work lately. I have also started an Accounting course which is two evenings a week after work so i just want to flop out on the sofa when i get home.

Things have been progressing nicely but a bit slowly. My teeth have just about straightened out now and i am in my 2nd month of having a powerchain and my lowers and my 1st month of powerchain on my uppers.

This was the part that i have been excited about as i know that the biggest change is going to be my teeth moving backwards into the those pesky extraction gaps.

It hurt like hell when i got my powerchain put on my lowers nearly two months ago but i havent really had much pain since my last adjustment.
Now i dont like the pain itself but i do like it when it hurts as i now that things are on the move. Does this make me wierd? lol

Ill try to get some pics of my teeth on here at the weekend so you can see how they have come along so far.

Im going to go and check in on peoples stories now as i really need to catch up.

All the best
Hannah x
