Hi jenny101101 ~

I'm thinking it can only get better from here! Right?! :D

I probably should have been drinking Ensure to stay healthy but instead I lived off applesauce and pudding! Well, at least I had the fruits and dairy categories covered! LOL!

Wow - another 32 year old! AWESOME!! 8)

How are you feeling?

Yep, 3/3 is my lucky day - B-Day that is! Let's get the ball rolling! I think this next week will either go by REALLY fast or REALLY slow!

Hi Katie ~

Yeah, if I didn't have that stupid partial dry socket, I'd be ALMOST on cloud nine!

My hubby got me mad this morning so I started yelling and boy, does that HURT my dry socket! It must be all the forceful air going in and out! Needless to say, the hubby & kids have enjoyed me not yelling! LOL! Not that I do it all the time but probably more than I should! :(

I have to be honest, I haven't done any salt water rinses this past week. I was really faithful the first two weeks. I better be a good girl and start them up again!

Yeah, as I said to jenny101101, this next week will either go really fast or really slow!

Hi Braced32,

I hope this week goes by REALLY fast for you but I hate to say it...It'll probably seem like the LONGEST one ever! :? I only had to wait 3 weeks from my initial consult to go back and get my uppers on and it seemed like eternity. Kinda like a kid a Christmas  Hopefully it'll go by fast though.

I'm feeling really good...no pain, just a little sensitive to bite down. Let's hope you get along well too! 3/3 come on!!!
Keep smilin'! :)

Just read your story. I feel for your pain! I hope things are much better. Remember when you get your braces that the first day or so, the discomfort may seem deceptively mild. Usually, it's the second or third day that the pain will be at its peak and then hopefully, the discomfort will diminish. So, take care during that time.

Within 12 days of my extractions, I lost 8 pounds!! YIPPEE!!! :D

In the last week, I've gained 2.5 pounds!!! NOT YIPPEE!!! :x

For three weeks I was eating soft boring foods. A week ago I decided I was going to spend the next 10 days eating out at all my favorite restaurants enjoying all the foods I've missed and may not be able to eat for awhile after I get my lower braces and bite plate. Some of the meals have been a little uncomfortable and even painful but I've been eating away - obviously!

I'm thinking I might need to slow down these next four days! I'd hate to put all the weight back on!

Hey Braced32,

Congrats on the loss! So you've been enjoying food before being braced...I don't blame you! I did the same thing and gained 4 pounds. Since I've been braced, I've lost 2 so it'll all even out :D . You deserve to enjoy it while you can. You're still down 5.5 and I'll almost guarantee you'll lose more when you first get braced. And look at it this way, you'll be back to "square one" when you get your uppers on and maybe even lose more!! We're in the same boat, just opposite set of teeth being braced....just one more thing we can track!! lol
Keep smilin'! :)

I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that I'll at least lose the 2.5 I've recently put on!

We might as well track anything and everything we can. It's going to be 2 years!! :(

Hey, never been in here before, thought id come and post on your thred for a while.

Im sorta the opposite, last xmas i was just over 15 stone, from weight training and exercising at the gym 4 times a week and eating 4 times as much as anyone else (im a vegetarian too so its a bit harder for me to gain weight in that respect)
i had to stop gyming before xmas due to tendon damage in my arm, and now all my extractions and brace stuff, but not being able to eat as much as often as fast as i usually have done has led to alot of the muscle id worked so hard to achieve just sorta went away, im just glad i didnt fatten up, im still tonedish but i cant help but miss the way i was, and despite my braces i intend to get it back, as much as you want to loose your weight i want to gain mine back :P

i can imagine having sensitive teeth will compound this problem again but once all the fallout of pain senstivity and cost has gone ill prob lean back towards smoothies and protein shakes and alot of scrambled egg!!

its a tough balance for men and women sometimes for the same reason sometimes for different reasons.

though not being able to eat sucks for us both!

big hugs all round
