My teeth have been wired for little over 4 hours and they hurt! :soremouth: I've already had to put wax on my upper cuspids because the hooks are digging into my cheeks "big-time"
I just took another 800mg motrin, the first one was at 12:30 an hour before my appointment. Eating dinner is going to be fun!

Here's my pic about 5 hours after I was braced. Excuse the wax on the cuspids, the hooks are killing me. :soremouth:

Congrats on your b-day. Now you can relax and just try and enjoy being a member of the club. Your braces look good and it seems like a perfect smile is not that far away. You have very pretty lips that will frame your new smile very nicely.

Look forward to following your progress.

Hi Denise,

Thank you for your complement on my pic. My front teeth look pretty straight, but #'s 4 and 5 they're messed up (uppers), I have an underbite relationship on the right side and the left are starting to do the same thing.

I've totally been doing salt water rinses, rincinol (this stuff is awesome) and wax or course (the upper molar tubes are killer), hopefully this should subside soon.

You can definitely join the club :D

Thanks Pebbles,

Things are definitely getting better. Using less wax... I'm really having a hard time with the upper molar tubes (they're totally ripping my cheeks apart!

Good luck tomorrow with getting your bracket fixed.

Thanks Missnomer,

My sentence is estimated for 12 months. Hopefully it will go by quick! I'm not relaxed for the mostpart, but I still can't believe that I did it !

Thank you for the lip complement, my mom always tells me how nice my lips are and I should wear red lipstick (I'm blond and it looks great on Christina Agulerra and Gwen Stefani) I wear it and I feel I look cheap... I'm strictly a sheer lip color or gloss girl.

I'll keep you posted!

I had a sample in my goodie bag and I loved it. I went online and I saw that CVS and Walgreens had it. I went to CVS and they don't stock it, but Walgreen's does. I picked up a bottle for $9.99. Good luck finding it. :D

Congrats, browneyedgirl, you did it! 12 months will go by before you know it, and I don't think you will get tired of people thinking you're only 19! :D

Hopefully you're not in too much pain and I think you'll get used to having braces pretty quickly, since you've had them before. Eating will always be an adventure with an assortment of hooks and wire for stuff to get caught on, but it's not that bad...I know it has kept me from eating stuff I shouldn't eat anyway, so there's always that bonus! ;-)

Take care and keep us updated!

Christy

Hi Christy,

I like looking young. When I was 18, some people thought I was 12. My co-workers thought I was in my early 30"s. No complaints here. I just hate getting the 3rd degree from people, why did get braces, your teeth are straight! It's annoying already. Sorry for the "vent"!

My friend is jealous, about my braces diet, I'm not snacking like I'd normally would and drink a ton of water. Maybe I'll finally get the rest of the baby weight off, it's been almost 6 years...LOL!!!! It's not worth the effort to eat at night after my 30 minute hygiene regimine.

The pain is definitely getting better, I haven't taken anything and I'm not using as much wax either. It's all a matter of time. :D

OMG ! I can't believe it, you too?? People you hardly know walk up and talk to you about your braces ! ! !

One woman, who I barely know, blew my mind... Did I get my braces because it was something I'd always wanted but couldn't afford until now, or just now decided I wanted them and if so what made me decide, and how much did they cost, surely I don't want to spend money on perfectly beautiful teeth ... so I mentioned correcting my bite, crowding, grinding, .... she told me that my teeth look fine to her and I told her "that's because you're not a dentist" ...

I just have to say, I never knew so many people had so many opinions about braces.

Hope your afternoon is going good!
