That's awesome you can keep paying after removal, it makes a lot of sense... and you still need to visit the office anyways for retainer check ups so I don't see why this wouldn't work out. Yeah definitely will write (I've checked the website and they have some awful reviews as of late too, so I have a lot more to comment on besides the financials! lol And I definitely know now a first impression really does show you the future. Lesson learned 7000 dollars and 1.5 years later. Thanks for your encouragement!

Perhaps, but I have been saying since August my right side feels wrong, have mentioned it at every appointment and still no change, and probably no change in the future either. I sure hope it gets worked out too, thanks for your comment!
TrustGodAuburn wrote:That stinks. I am surprised they would keep them on just because the payments are not done. Crazy. I have 3 payments left, but probably another year in the braces. UGH. I haven't even asked. This wonky tooth is not budging.
Perhaps some this office has a higher 'straighten and stray' rate (the equivalent to dine and dash lol). Well, good luck with your wonky tooth, I know that's been going on for quite some while too!

Best to you all, thanks again for the support, it's weird how this can bother a person so much!!!!

Well today is my 15 months with braces day! It's been a wacky ride, overall I'm happy with the changes, still waiting for the right posterior to be made better though.

The photo below shows what I have been bugging my ortho for since August, I've come to the conclusion that he made me wear class 2 elastics for too long, hence why my right side now looks like a posterior open bite class 3 (in my opinion. Perhaps I shall fix it myself lol!!!)

Thanks! I've taken matters in to my own hands lol, started wearing elastics to close up that space seeing as how ortho ignores me hahaha! It's working, can't believe how easy this is. Could train a monkey to be an ortho.... :-**

Good luck, dear! I'm not wearing my elastics like my ortho told me. It's still 0.5mm off on my midline. Elastics to do help a lot though. Best of luck!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only 25 year old male that missed the opportunity at a younger age... You said it right, we are stubborn at that age :)

Oi better keep on top of that! Thanks, I'm going for an adjustment tomorrow (jan 6th) and hoping to hear some good news, but should be only 1-2 months left as quoted.

So I had my 16th adjustment today and the ortho had a look at my problematic right side and came up with a solution, an elastic configuration that he wanted to do back in October...then halfway through the appointment he changed his mind and said that the teeth would 'settle' after the braces come off? 3mm seems like a lot to settle. So anyways they gave me a 2-2 powerchain on top and reduced the coils between the laterals and placed a huge coil on both sides from canine to 2nd molar to try to close space up.

Anyways, I have a 'monitoring' appointment on February 11th and:

I was given a deband date of March 11th so I'm super happy about that!!!!!!! :-* :jump: :-** :D . My reaction was mostly happiness and a small weee bit of separation from braces sadness as it's been 16 months (will be 18 months) and I have gotten use to having braces as part of my identity hahaha. But I'm sure I will be over that soon.

My ortho and I also discussed the bonding that 'needs' to be done around my laterals. I am just as happy to leave the space, plus $200-400 per tooth for a bit of smidgen of resin isn't really worth it to me, plus can be done in the future at anytime. My main objective of fixing my jaw issues are done (hopefully bite will turn out good by then) and I'm not at all concerned about 1 mm of space around the laterals.

Me too! You're done soon hey?!

The left side feels awesome, right side is better I'd rate it about 85% good...back right 2nd bicuspid to last molar still don't touch. Here's to doing something that I haven't a lot in this whole braces fiasco...trust my ortho hahahahaah.
