Side by side comparison pics can show incredible progress. I didnt think I had any progress at my 1 month mark either. But then I did a side by side pic and saw quite a bit of progress

Hi Everyone. I'm getting my braces tightened today, and I will be taking some pics afterwards. I've noticed some progress already.

Today, I got my bottom wire changed but not the top. I guess it's because my bottom teeth need more work. Although it hurt to eat afterwards, it wasn't as bad as when I first got my braces installed.

Here are some comparison pics.

Thanks! I see my bottom arch looks a little wider and my teeth are straightening out. I had taken a pic of my top arch but it wasn't a good angle.

I go back to get my braces tightened on October 22nd.

It's been 25 days since I got my bottom wire changed and my front teeth have straightened up a lot. I'm very happy about it. What I'm not liking is the two big gaps that opened up between some molars. It takes much longer to floss those areas, and it's just nasty to see how much food that gets caught in the large spaces. It's time to pull out the Waterpik. I've been doing fine without up to this point.

Last week, I went for my second tightening (15 weeks). The top arch wire was replaced with a thicker one. My crossbite is changing, and my midline is becoming more aligned. I have a missing tooth on the top left side of my mouth after my canine, so a spring was placed to keep the space open for an implant. Previously, a piece of plastic was used to cover the wire. I prefer the plastic.

Here are a couple photos.

I've been trying to take a good pic of the top of my mouth to track the changes. Hasn't happened yet.

No ways! Your teeth look fantastic! So much movement in such a short time, I hope mine is as successful :)

Thanks, everyone! My braces were tightened today. I don't think my teeth moved much at all, and I think my orthodontist feels the same way. He looked at my teeth and decided to shave them down a little at my next appointment in 7 weeks. After eating lunch, I realized that I felt no soreness. None! My teeth feel fine. No pain. Maybe movement has stalled. One thing I did notice was that I have a teeny weeny gap in between my two top front teeth. They used to overlap so it's nice to see how they've straightened.

Silver was my ligature color of choice this time around. I might take pics.

It's been over six months since I got my braces, and I don't feel like much has been going on. At my last appointment, I got a power chain on my upper teeth. My wires weren't changed. Also, I got IPR on my two top front teeth. They look so much better. For the first time, I needed to use wax. This wire is poking the HECK out of my cheek. The power chain must be doing something. I can't really tell. Here are some pics.

I haven't been experiencing much pain over the past couple of months, which is good. Next month I'll be getting IPR done on my bottom teeth.
