Thanks guys! I've always hated my teeth, especially after the car accident chipped them all to heck. Not enough to get braces until I was told to get them or lose teeth. But I'm SOOOO glad I did! They are looking so much better!

Congratulations on your improved smile Sonya! I was wondering, did your case require extractions? Was it something an orthodontist you've seen, asked of you? The protruding canine reminds me of my case, and I am required, hence my question. Thanks!

No extractions. He mentioned the possiblity at my consultation, but decided he didn't want to risk changing my profile. SO, we're straightening now, and may have to do some contouring and shaping at the end to even things out a bit.

Bottoms went on this morning. Owie. Already. Here are the before and after metal shots. It's been almost 6 months since this started and I'm SO glad to have the bottoms on their way to being straighter. I knew they were crooked, but until I saw the zig-zaggy wire, I had no IDEA they were THIS bad. They had more trouble placing these brackets and wire than the top, which was AWFUL. Kind of embarrassing to see them struggle......
