well here i am!
as you all know, i have joined the meta mouth club two weeks ago when i had my brackets and spacers put on. wow, that metal tore my mouth up pretty bad, and i couldnt eat anything that required chewing until 13 days after the spacers were put on! im so glad to have those things out. they really bothered my gums.
this morning i had the wires put on. the cement taste kinda gross, and since my teeth are still hitting the brackets, they put cement on my teeth to open my bite up. it looks like an ugly filling, but its ok, only i can see it.....
but here it goes.....i am sore. my teeth themselves hurt really bad. i have a few that are just being yanked on, and i cant hardly touch them without tearing up. i am flossing, but it hurts. i am brushing, but it hurts, i ate mushy mac and cheese today, but i am not going to eat anything else tonight. i wish i would have ate breakfast. i am tired and hungry and wacked out on pain killers, and it still hurts. i was really cranky at work to one of my closest friends today, who will basically do anything for me and i feel awful about it. i apologized but i am just so complain and on top of that my feelings were getting hurt really easy because of how the vicoden makes me feel when it starts to wear off.
but anyway thats my story. i think i am going to take a shower and go to sleep. please someone, tell me ill get used to this=)

i survived my first adjustment! wow my bottoms hurt!
i got a power chain put on the bottom teeth last sat, and the changed the bands on the top teeth. my teeth feel so loose and its still hard for me to chew on anything. when i had the wires put on, it took 2 and a half weeks for me to be able to eat. i cant eat any meat unless its very tender and very small. on the plus side, i have lost 10 punds!

I know just how you feel about the tender teeth! I was tender for the first week after my adjustment, but I can't say that I lost any weight. Some people just have all the luck ...

Good luck with your treatment!
Talking about tooth movement to people with braces is like talking to a woman about her first born child.
Yes, there has been movement.
Yes, that is by far the cutest baby I have ever seen.

Ah one of the perks of braces: not being able to eat and losing weight haha I'm totally there with ya. Don't lose too much weight now! And I hope the pain gets better for you

well hello all! i am about due for my next adjustment, next sat, and i have noticed in the past few days that my bottom wire is sticking out of the band quite a bit. it isnt jabbing me yet, but my tongue is getting caught on it when my mouth is dry and general discomfort-things. it doesnt really HURT. not yet anyway. anyhow, who thinks i should go it b4 my adjustment to have it clipped? who thinks i should wait until sat? who thinks that i am very happy to see empirical evidence that my teeth are getting better?!!

p.s time is a big issue with me, i work full time, go to school full time and am a single parent. if i can wait, i prefer to.

Thats good that your wire is sticking out the back of your brackets! That surely means progress. Image

If it isn't bothering you too much, then just wait until Sat. if you can. Then they'll clip it for you then.

Do try and stay hydrated. it helps things in general, with your braces.

Best of Luck at your next adj.!

Later Ken.
yeah, thats what i am thinking too.
i am so excited that the wire is sticking out that much on both sides! i mean i can feel my teeth moving but i couldnt really see it...
yeah i am just getting superdry mouth this year cause ive got6 heyfever pretty bad. i wake up at night all dehydrated, i think thats when it actually bothers me. and i am sure it isnt going to help much that the entire state seems to be on fire again, and ill be outside most of the week.
