Yeah, I know. That tooth is not a pretty sight! But soon, and I can't wait, it'll be where it should be.

The ceramic brackets really don't feel any bigger than the smaller metal ones on the bottom. I can't really tell any difference.

Good luck on your b-day! :)

You know what I've noticed after looking at so many pics of others in braces? I have really small teeth! :? My brackets, both ceramic and metal, take up nearly the entire surface of my teeth. There is really not much extra space to brush. Speaking of brushing, I've never brushed so much in my life. My husband kids me that I'm becoming OCD about keeping my teeth clean.

Other than waking up in the mornings with my 2 bottom front teeth slightly sore from biting down on the brackets while sleeping, everthing has been going well. It seems as if I'm starting to feel new sensitive areas inside my mouth from where the hooks are - both top and bottom. And food gets majorly trapped under the hooks on my bottom teeth. I've also learned to deal a little better with the molar build-ups when eating. Thank goodness!

I have a few teeth that are back to being "loose" again. Two on top and 2 on bottom. It's crazy how they're loose one day, then not the next, then back to loose a couple of days later. I guess that's progress, huh? :?:

I know what you mean about being OCD about tooth care. My mouth has NEVER been so clean in its life! I brush, floss, and rinse compulsively. I never used to brush my teeth after lunch at work, but now I do and it actually feels really nice to have a nice fresh clean feeling all afternoon!

So yesterday was my first adjustment - 10 weeks after being braced. I got new wires - thicker - I think she said 18 (?) I can really tell a difference in the tension of the new wires. I've got some really sore spots.

I also got a spring between two of my lower teeth. Trying to push them apart so they can get a bracket on a rotated tooth. Oh yeah. It hurts so good! I can't even push on those puppies with my tongue. I can't believe how much space has been created in just one day!

Motrin's been my friend today

Next adjustment is out 10 weeks again. Sure wish they were not so far apart, but what can ya do...
