Miss Smiley, you and I share a birthday :-)o mine is also the 18th. Dare I ask how old you are going to be? I will be 42 :? Now that box looks very interesting. Surprise presents are great - although I know what my present is from hubby this year because he didn't know what to get me, so I had to tell him

Your teeth are looking great, and the teal powerchain makes them look really white. I also have that colour right now. It's been on 7 weeks (due to be changed tomorrow) and it's hardly stained at all, despite lots of tea and coffee and a few curries.

Glad you got that wire sorted. Poking wires are the pits.

I'm supposed to have some IPR somewhere down the road and that's what I'm worried about. Not pain but the sensation. **Shiver**

Jt - The ligs are ORANGE! :paperbag: Not even a nice even orange, one side is darker than the other. I have an orange - yellow gradiant!!! I called the office to see if I could have the front 4 ligs changed because I don't want the powerchains to be taken off, it will make me tear up like last time.

Lisa - Regardless of your age, you seem to be very young and agile, going camping and all after you had those mini-screws implanted.

Laurie - I wasn't even expecting it, he just kind of went at it. It caught me off guard and the sound and feeling of your teeth being filed was so weird!!!!!!!!! I hope I don't need anymore since I've had extractions and all. Maybe you can ask your ortho to tell you before it is done so that you can brace yourself. Hahaha no pun intended :D

Smiley, it's the 8th and those pictures are now valid! Shucks about your ligs. Or rather, you could keep them and start a new lig fashion trend - gradients! Err.. yes.

Laurie - Indeed, I had a bridge for my upper left quadrant. That has been dismantled and my dentist said that after ortho, he'll be fitting me with all new individual crowns, no more bridge. I also have to crowns on my bottom molars, 1 on each side. I had horrible, cavity prone teeth, luckily no gum disease. I never had those pretty, bubblegum pink gums. Atleast now, my crowns will be better looking and my smile won't be crooked. :D

Milk - I'm not much a trendsetter. I think I'll have my ligs changed out Stupid stupid crawfish restaurant!! Next time, I'm not eating there until the day before my adjustments. It was actually a Viet/Cajun restaurant. I never knew how many Vietnamese people lived in TX and came to CA! Everyone in the restaurant was Vietnamese except for me and my Mister. They all looked at me like an alien because I was grubbin on our 3 pounds of food by myself. The mister isn't into seafood as much as I am. Also, it probably didn't help that I was eating mine extra spicy and didn't have a glass of water. Lesson learned for next time.

I'm having curry tonight since my appointment to change out my ligs is tomorrow. Hehehehe, my ortho is so accomodating, sometimes I feel really bad for taking up so much time. My lower powerchain has already become all dingy and dark. It has only been a week and I expected it to stay nice for a while. I guess I won't be coming back to turquoise. Hot pink will be making more appearances than scheduled.

I've tried crawfish and just didn't like them. Probably how they were cooked though because there aren't many things I don't like (and my figure shows it).

I love seafood, I'll just have to hold off on the spicy foods and curry until the night before an adjustment.

So I had my appointment today, the assistant looked at my ligs and said "Oh yeah...those are kind of nasty." Hahahaha Yeah, I kind of figured they were bad. I will post a picture this weekend. I think I'm going to have to send them a fruit basket or something because I'm always going in for wire cuts or lig changes. :| How does Edible Arrangements sound for a nice warm summer day?

Too bad about the ligs, Miss Smiley. I'll have to remember that if I ever get powerchained.

At this point the only thing that's subject to staining are some silicone "bumpers" on my lower incisors -- keep my uppers from chipping against my lower brackets. I'm a coffee lover and they're turning brown

This pic became a little washed out but trust me, it was really bad! The ligs were really orangey! Now I've had the top changed out and it's back to day 1!

My molars have been bugging me and my stupid bracket on the my right canine has been pokey. I've tried wax and orthosil, no luck, it doesn't want to stay.

On the brighter side, my birthday is this Saturday and I'm going to Disneyland! Next weekend I shall be going to Las Vegas, Sin city! WOOHOO! I don't gamble but I love the buffets and something about walking and smoking inside a building is so exciting. I will play a little bit at the slot machine and who knows, maybe I'll throw down 20 bucks at a roulette table. That's me being risky. 8)
