Well i started my treatment today.... they putted spacers on my 4 molars... and braces on the fronts up to where the spacers go only... didn't put in any wires or anything yet... but it sure feels uncomfortable.

I've had a headache the whole day ever since i got them put on. Sure is hard to eat since i'm trying to eat dinner right now.

Only 20 months left to go !!!

Welcome aboard! It's always interesting to see how different orthos start treatment.

i suppose today's the 3rd day... it's not so bad now.. i think I've gotten used to the spacers... i only feel them when I'm eating.. the next appointment is on the 15th. I'll see what they do then.

Yes the spacers are kind of uncomfortable. The good thing is though that they get you ready for braces, as my wife said because she used to have braces when she was younger. The spacers kind of let you know what you are in for, although they are worse than braces or a lot of people. I am not in that group however, braces have been hard to get used to. But now I am at 6 weeks and I hardly even notice them any more. It will be worth it.

they took the spacers out today... man does that feel good ..... even though it was only for a few mins...i guess it was to make room for what's to come next...... then they put some kind of metal wrap that goes around the whole teeth around the 4 molars that got spacers.. to secure the wire that went on afterwards... all i can say is the wire is nothing to compared to the spacers.

i mean it still kind of hurts but it's not as bad as the spacers.... now i just have to go back once a month or so.
