I'm so excited to tell you about a brand new floss for braces that is coming on the market. I just added it to the DentaKit site yesterday.

It is called SturdyFloss. It was created by a dental hygienist.

SturdyFloss has a rigid but bendable threader tip which is thicker than other types of floss with built-in threaders. Because it is thicker, it is easier to handle. You can bend the threader into a specific shape and it will stay that way. It's a great product for kids who may have difficulty getting a grip on the other types of floss threaders.

The floss itself is plain (unwaxed, unflavored, unscented). The threader is "built in" to the floss in a similar way to Glide Threader Floss and similar products, but as I said, it is thicker and you can bend it into any shape.

That product sounds like it could be great, Lynn!

I like Glide threader floss a lot, but sometimes wish that the end was more moldable. I think the SturdyFloss sounds brilliant because it meets that need, and the price is very comparable to the Crest Glide product.

I tried mine yesterday and I really like it! I didn't realize that it bends, that would have helped alot in the back. The only problem I came across is that I couldn't fit the floss between my two front bottom teeth because the brackets are too close. Those darn teeth are always causing problems!

I like the floss better the superfloss because it seems to hold up a little better.

Sure looks like it will work. Bending the Superfloss or Thornton brand floss works, kind of, but not really. This is a great idea!!!!

i tried mine just the other day, and it was AWESOME it was so easy to floss my molars. I couldn't fit in in between my front four teeth because of a power wire in weaved in out of of the bracket, but everywhere i got too!! The bendy tip is......stupendous!!!!

This sounds promising. I hate the Oral B stuff you get at the ortho. It breaks really easy, and I have a heck of a time threading it, I have better luck with my usual floss. I'll have to try it.
