I had 6 teeth extracted (none of them were wisdom teeth) along with 2 impacted canines exposed at once and didn't use Zip n' Squeeze. I had broth and smoothies the first 2-3 days and took the pain medicine given to me by my oral surgeon. It was pretty painful but I survived. I even managed to make it to school the next day. I looked pretty ridiculous with so many gaps especially in front but I had almost no swelling! :)

Good luck and keep us posted!

I had actually never heard of those, but I don't think you'll need them! I've had eight teeth extracted -- four wisdoms years ago, then recently four more for my braces treatment.

When I had all four wisdoms out at once, I ate pudding and soup the first day and then quickly moved to eggs and soft foods the second. For my recent extractions (2 each on 2 appointments, 1 week apart), it was much easier -- I ate bean burritos, Twinkies, bread and other soft (but normal) foods within hours of each extraction. Within a few days, you'll be eating normally.

Be sure to ask in advance for pain meds (you won't need much, I only needed one Vicodin after each recent extraction, and about two for the wisdom teeth), and take meticulous care of your extraction sites -- there's an incredibly painful condition called dry socket that can strike if you smoke, drink from a straw, etc. too soon after your extraction. I've never had it, but TRUST me, you don't want it!

The only thing I suggest is DEFINITELY take the day off work or school, because you will be drooling all over the place for a little while! Good luck! Let us know how it goes for you.

I had 4 impacted wisdoms removed in one go when I was 21 (a long time ago now lol) but I seem to remember that it was only the day of the op that I couldn't eat anything much. I couldn't open my mouth very far because of the swelling, but the day after the op I was able to eat yogurt and fish pie using a small spoon.
Painkiller-wise, I just took ibuprofen for a few days. It really wasn't that bad.
