Which brands have you used? You quite possibly have tried this already, but I really like Crest VividWhite. I originally got it because of the taste ( 
), but have fallen in love with it! It gives my mouth a fresh, clean feeling for hours, and at the end of the day, no "fuzzy slipper" feeling on my teeth.
They have a similar paste, called VividWhite Night, which I haven't tried, but I don't think you would find it to your liking....apparently the paste leaves some sort of whitening coat on your teeth that you brush off in the morning
