Hi

I have both fixed retainers (top and bottom) and essix. There was an issue with my essix retainers being made, so had to wait 12 days. I've been using them now for about 3 days. My top essix retainer is very tight, and one of my front teeth feels under pressure. If this continues I will see my ortho, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced tightness despite having a fixed retainer? I thought the fixed would have stopped movement of my front teeth?

Just an update, teeth seen to have really settled, front teeth don't feel under pressure now. It seems the fixed retainers do definitely need other appliances to fully hold things in place. I'll be having a follow up appointment in a few months anyway.
