I had my braces off last week (YAY!) and have been waiting until today to get my retainer, which I now have. In that week however my midline has shifted a couple of millimetres and its really bugging me after everything I did with bands to fix it over the last 6 months. Will the retainer fix this problem?

Possible. How long until you get your retainer? Warning, the first few days it may feel like you just got braces again. (aka. pain). That is normal.
