Top back molars shifting outward. suggestions. please

#1 Post by jrm »

I have been wearing a lower hawley retainer for 5 years now. Howevermy top back molars have shifted outward that i feel my bite is off. I had my wisdom teeth removed 5 years back along with my bottom back molars. Due to this my bottom teeth shifted terribly which resulted me in wearing a retainer since my mid thirties. Now im thinking i may need to the same for my top teeth. Any suggestions? My bite now feels off?

I suggest a visit to the orthodontist......
Sectional brace with Damon clear brackets fitted to front 6 upper teeth 3 January 2012
Brackets added to premolars 2 April 2012
Estimated treatment time originally 6-9 months
. Brace removed on 22 July 2013 after 18 months and 19 days
Now enjoying bonded upper retainer plus part time essix/hawley( I have both)

Sounds like a plan. I'm hoping that only a retainer will fix the problem nothing else. Will have to make a visit. I'm thinking a wraparound hawley may fix the bite issue.
