Before and after! (now I will obsessively wear retainers)

I got my braces off yesterday morning and picked up my upper and lower Hawley retainers this afternoon. At this point, I'm going around talking to myself trying to get rid of the lisp before work tomorrow...
Here's the before and after...it took about 2 years and 3 months. I'm so happy I finally went through with it!

How long did you wait before doing some sort of whitening? I was originally considering doing something at the dentist, but I think I'll start with something cheaper from the drugstore first. I've never done any of the whitestrips or anything like that because I couldn't get them on all my teeth before!

Wow! You look great!!! Seeing pictures like these make me glad I decided to get braces :tingrin:
Braces installed on March 25, 2014: Damon clears on top and metal on bottom.
I had braces for 25 months!

I havent done whitening yet but planned on it. I think I heard that Crest whitestrips worked really well. Hopefully someone can post what they used.

I used to use crest whitening strips every once in a while before I had braces on, and they work pretty well. :) I'm planning on getting them when I get my braces off and going back to tooth paste with some whitening in it.

Bonded Rapid Palatal Expander: 10/1/13 - 3/31/14
Upper and Lower Metal Braces: 4/22/14 - 7/14/15
Total treatment time: 21 months

I'm really happy for you! Your teeth look great! Make sure to wear your retainers! I just had my braces debonded yesterday so I'm very excited! I bought the whitening strips but I haven't used them yet, I want to wait a little bit so my teeth settle a bit before I try to whiten them. :D

Good job! I got my top braces off this past Tuesday (next week Tuesday the bottom ones are coming off), and Saturday I'm getting my retainers
