Which retainer is more easier to clean and keep hygienic? Hawley or Essix.

I have one of each and I would say no difference. My ortho advises soaking with retainerbrite once per week only, so the rest of the time I brush the retainer with a soft toothbrush and ordinary soap. Seems to be working well so far for the 8 months since I was debraced.

Sectional brace with Damon clear brackets fitted to front 6 upper teeth 3 January 2012
Brackets added to premolars 2 April 2012
Estimated treatment time originally 6-9 months
. Brace removed on 22 July 2013 after 18 months and 19 days
Now enjoying bonded upper retainer plus part time essix/hawley( I have both)

I would honestly say Hawley, but that may just be cause my Essix broke after about 6 months. I was cleaning it at the time, I think.
