Hello - so today I had my braces off and enjoyed a nice dinner with my family.
But since I am so used to having braces on and having food caught/stuck in my braces - I kind of forgot what it was like before I got braces.
So I did have food stuck/caught in my teeth. And it was soo funny b/c my husband said, of course that happens without braces. That's why people pick their teeth, use toothpicks, etc, etc.
So even with my braces off, I still felt like I had to go rinse and brush my teeth b/c I didn't like the feeling of the food being in my mouth.
It's just funny b/c in a way I thought I was done with all that, but I think my husband said I developed very healthy habits during my braces so maybe I'm not used having food stuck in there.
Plus I noticed too - with my very tiny spaces, food does tend to get caught in there more easily.
Any experiences/thoughts you'd like to share? Thanks!

Yes, but it's nowhere near as bad. I had that problem seems all my life. I always have a toothpick with me and many times don't worry about the social graces but try to be discrete.

Hi - totally agree - no where near as bad as braces.
Snowglobe - just like you, I am continuing on with the waterpik. I think b/c of my having braces, I have now developed good oral hygiene habits.
I really hate the feeling of food stuck in my mouth so I still go rinse after I eat at home and in public.
Funny I thought I was all done with that.
And I still use my waterpik. I had to buy a new one b/c my old one broke and I was so close to the end of my treatment I thought it would be a waste of money. But I'm glad I can and still want to use it post-treatment.
