ESSIX retainer

Are you supposed to be able to bite down correctly while wearing an essix. Something on my right side is hitting first and making my bite feel weird. But, when I take out the retainer my bite is normal and fine. Can people have the essix shaved?

Also, when I put the retainer on It fills up with blood ( sorry gross I know) and seriously looks like I just ate someone. Has this happened to anyone? My gums are very irritated from debonding.


Oh and since I haven't said it yet.... I GOT MY BRACES OFF :D :D :D :D .

I'm not sure, but I wanted to say CONGRATS! You haven't even had your braces on for a year! LUCKY!
