ok some thing has to be up , about five weeks ago my lower retainer broke , the plastic cracked, it was sent to the lab , got it back about three weeks ago it was fine , last night putting it back in the wire across my teeth broke , where the wire comes out of the plastic, has anyone had this happen , so i've emailed my ortho to see whats up

well , my retainer has been sent back to the lab agian , he had to take a new impression , man thats allways nice , he told me yesterday he thought i was the only one at his pratice that has had this many problems , agian he said i was special , but agian my whole case was long an special ,

Hmm....I wonder if you grind your teeth at night. The other option (besides or including your retainer being of crap quality I suppose ) is perhaps the way that you clean them? I've heard that the solder points of hawleys can be sensitive to harsh cleaning.

good morning, i think it's just a crap retainer, i did see a grind mark on the wire , i guess cleaning it up after it was made that happened , my ortho thought the guy could fix it will see , but he did take new impressions just so the lab could have incase he had to made a new one
