I have a couple of questions. I got mine off a couple days/about a week ago.
People always say that theyre teeth feel slimey and smoothe after wards. Mine dont particularly. I dont feel globs of glue but they feel sort of rough, not slimey at all.
If i look real close at my teeth, I can see little scratches/scuff marks. Ive been to a dental cleaning afterward where they again cleaned and polished and they didnt come off. Could it be a thinn layer of glue residue, or most likely did the enamel get scuffed up. Please go take a flashlight to your mouth and let me know!!! lol
I also noticed some craze lines that I didnt have before. Im 22. Maybe its come with age?? I thought maybe it was the sheer force of the bracket removal??? I dunno but im scared.
And, finally, when you got your braces off did your orthodontist file any parts of your teeth to reshapge them or finish correcting your bite?
Im just concerned about my teeth and wonder what any of you have gone through. Maybe im critiquing my teeth too harshly.
After you got your braces off...

Oh i dont intend to do anything about the glue theory. I just dont have that smooth/slimy feeling i always hear about.
I know i didnt have craze lines pre braces...except for one tooth because i am one of the dental phobes wasting my life with a flashlight and mirror in my mouth checking everything out. lol. I have gone to the dentist and been sent home because my are teeth are too clean. lol. im a freak.

I had some specs of glue for some time after getting braces off, and did feel some rough spots here and there. Didn't really feel slimy, my mouth just felt empty! A really diligent and hard working dental hygienist eventually got all the glue off
