How often and how many times did you have "check-ups" with your ortho once your braces were off, not including any emergency visits?

Right after I had them removed I had two retainer checks 6 weeks apart and then the next one was 6 months after that. Since the 6 month check-up I have had to have visits every 8 weeks because he is tweaking the retainer for some teeth that are trying to move. I think after this next 8 week check I will get a longer span...6 months or a year if everything is looking fine.

My plan had 2 year follow-up retainer checks built into the price of my treatment.

I haven't had my 6 mo retainer check yet, but it will be the first time I'll see my ortho since getting my braces off. I think I go back a few more times at 6 mo intervals after that.
