teeth moving while waiting on retainer

Hi, I was debraced Monday, after 18 months in braces. my retainer will be in tomorrow but i have noticed that my two front teeth are not straight like they were the first day the braces came off. Will a retainer generally correct this? I know they are to stop them from moving but I don't know if they will move them back. I've been worrying about this for a day and a half now. Thanks.

Yes, retainer will correct. My retainer was very tight and I could feel a little discomfort as it moved teeth back into correct position, this only took a day, maybe less
