what is this retainer?

My ortho has several different kinds of retainers, but one has a wire on the back of the teeth and plastic in front or something like that and it is not a permanent. Can someone show me a picture of what it looks like.

Haven't heard of that one sorry.
My Hawley has plastic over the top of the wire on the front though (it's kinda all moulded to my teeth)...
Never heard of the wire at the back though.

i think it might be a spring retainer but im not sure.... google it
