I never noticed it until i got the braces, but it seems as if i bite down while i'm sleeping and the braces pinch my inner cheek. Is there any way to prevent this? I think its pinching because I have a ClassII overbite.

I've had a lot of problems sleeping lately, and every time I wake up, my mouth is super sore, and it's always a new adventure each day. One day I'll wake up and my tongue will be scarred with a TPA mark, and the next I'll wake up with a jaw so sore I can't even move it for the first 15 minutes or so.
Sleeping with my mouth open must help a bit, I'd hate to know how sore I'd be if I slept with my mouth shut. I just wish there was a way I'd be able to wake up and not have drool all over my face!

I was having the same problem of clinching my teeth. My ortho gave me a plastic "wafer". I put it between my teeth at night. I sleep with my mouth closed and NO DROOL....

I worried that I might not be able to sleep with it and even had visions of accidentally swallowing it

, but it's been fine. My ortho did say that clinching my teeth might slow down progress, so we don't want to do that. Hope this little bit of info helps.
