#1 Post by PaPHIL32 »

I just was braced on fri oct 14, and i have a question about a flouride rinse. I am 33 and i bought colgate's phos-flur, is this brand worth it or should i buy another one?

I'm not even close to being braced yet, but I used a generic form of ACT (good old Walmart's Equate brand) and I like it.

All fluoride rinses are beneficial. The prescription/dental office ones are usually a higher concentration than the OTC ones, but both kinds are good. Be aware that stannous fluoride can superficially stain your teeth with long term use. But I think sodium fluoride is the type most commonly used for rinses.
