removal of bracket

#1 Post by vincent »

as always i probably ask the most stupid questions but, you know the gap between the metal band on molar and gum, the tiny area for tooth, well i has an extractio next to the molar and think that there is a potential for a cavity to develop since i can imagine food getting stuck there, i floss everynight but i cant stand cavaties and they make me soooo scared! when they remove the bands how is it and has anyones tooth fallen out as they need to pull pretty hads, do they need much force to remove the bands?

I, too am scared of cavities (well, actually the dentist's needle!).....There is not a reasonable chance that they will pull your tooth out with the molar band, or the bracket because part of the tool that they use holds your tooth down, whilst pulling the piece off. Good luck! Don't worry :D
Damon 2's top and bottom, BRACED 02/22/04 and REMOVED 08/29/05. Now in bonded retainers (top and bottom) :4 wisdom teeth surgically removed on 12/22/05:
