Second time in braces

Hey everyone! I am 38 and this is my second time in braces. I got them on last Friday and the process was much easier than I remember. My first time in braces was from age 14-17. I had 4 extractions, spacers, and metal bands around my back molars. About a year after the braces came off my wisdom teeth came in and shoved everything into a mess. Unfortunately I didn't have insurance nor the funds to deal with that at the time.
After saving for a few years in an HSA, and getting to the point where only 2 teeth on either side of my mouth touch, I am super excited to be starting this process again. It will be so nice to be able to bite and chew things properly! My children are excited too, they love the dark purple ligatures I chose
I only had to take acetaminophen and ibuprofen for the first 3 days. By now my mouth is getting used to everything, and eating is getting easier. I'm hoping the next 12-18 months go by fairly easily!
