Clarity SL Braces
Hello everyone! My name is Tina, and I've recently just paid my deposit to get ceramic clarity sl braces. It's costing me £2700 with fixed and removable retainers and then on top £450 for gum removal to help close my gap. Has anyone had their frenum removed before getting their braces on? If so how did it go? As I am worried about scars and it not healing properly! I have previously also had Invisalign, waste of money for me
Due to my lifestyle and always having work meetings at restaurants, I kept forgetting to put it back in after meals or would wait a few hours before getting home and by that time I wouldn't be able to get my aligner back in. So now I'm spending money on fixed braces. Damon seems like the popular option but I didn't want to spend £3200. Has anyone had clarity Sl braces? Do they work just as well? I was told maybe a little slower but does exactly the same job? I have gaps between my front teeth, deep overbite and my teeth are different lengths and sizes, also a gummy smile. So hopefully this will all be corrected! I am looking forward to sharing my journey with you and reading all your stories!

Re: Clarity SL Braces
So after reading a lot of reviews on here I have decided to change my plan to Damon braces. They are offering 10% off if I pay up front so it will work out to be £2880! Which makes it a more appealing deal!

That's great! Is it the clear or metal? Do you have a date to get them on yet?

Yes 6th June! still got a while to go, but having my frenectomy surgery next Wednesday, then impressions being taken in May and then I go on holiday and didn't want to go with braces so having them fitted when I come back!atrixa wrote:That's great! Re: Clarity SL Braces - update: Damon SL braces
I'm really worried is anyone able to help please? I have searched the forum but can't find anything to answer my question! I am going to be having my frenectomy this week and I have spoken to the receptionist raising my concern about having it done before the gap closed incase scar tissues form (I get scar tissues easily, got a few keloid scars from piercings and chicken pox) but she said that's how they work and the orthodontist removes it before putting braces on. My braces won't be put on until June which gives it plenty of time for scar tissue to form! I'm really worried about the gap not closing in the end as that's the main reason why I got my braces to begin with. Has anyone had the surgery done before their braces? If so how did it go? I guess I just need some peace of mind! It doesn't help that I can't see the orthodontist before the procedure and the receptionist just told me to talk to him on the day of the appointment! I've been to a few consultations and no one mentioned the surgery except one saying I may need it but they will wait till the end. Which makes me wonder if I actually even need it. When I went for this consultation I was seen by a different orthodontist compared to the one who will be doing my surgery, and he said I would need one but I thought it would be done during or after braces and not before. I also have a gummy smile and I am also concerned about it making my smile worse. Has anyone who had a frenectomy experienced a bigger gummy smile?
