Hi everyone !

After years and years of hiding my teeth and holding out from laughing too hard, i'm finally getting damon braces in 10 days !

I should have had orthodontic treatment when i was young but my parents didn't give me access to dental treatment unless i was in real pain ... The result is that i have an extremely narrow palate (Superior jaw is horribly small, i can't even stick my tongue to my palate) so i have huge dark corners when i smile.

I really hope it will fix my teeth because among all my problems, i think it's the one thing that is killing me the most ... The smile is usually the first thing an other person look on your face and a unhealthy smile gives an awful first impression ...

Thanks to all the members sharing their stories and progress, it is really motivating !

We seem to have similar issues, so I feel your excitement! Were the Damons the ones you wanted to go with or is that what you're Orthodontist recommended? Good luck on the journey!

Good luck guts! I'm in damkn braces too for a narrow upper arch although maybe not as narrow as yours because I can fit my tongue (just) I'm just over two weeks in and some teeth have already moved to where they should be in my arch (I had some on the upper right that were tiltedd in) make sure you post some photos when you get them on!

I saw two different orthodentists, the first one said i had to go through the SARPE surgery but i learned that this guy had a really bad reputation so i went to a second orthodentist who said that he was able to fix me with the damon system with no extractions except for a badly damaged molar.

Thank you ! That's really motivating to know that you had progress in such little time, hope it'll be the case for me too ! I will post photos without and with the braces the day i get them.

I never got told what type of brackets I was getting except that they would be self-ligating. Through my own stalking though, I think I'm in Damons too! Good luck with the treatment - not long til they're on now!!

Thanks ! The wait is killing me ... I'm walking in circle like a caged lion.

I get my Damon braces on Tuesday. Still dunno if I should be excited on not

I don't know about you but my teeth had an horribly negative impact on my life sooo personally i'm way more than excited to begin this journey !

I finally have my braces on ! So far i don't have any pain but i can definitely feel the tension. Bad thing is, i only have two contact points between my teeth so it is impossible for me to chew correctly.

6 weeks in ! Not much changes for the first five weeks but things started to move a lot in the sixth week ! Now i can completely stick my thumb between my molars which was impossible for me before (and i have really small fingers!). My next ortho appointment is in a month and i'm really excited for the first adjustment !
