I am so happy to find a group of people that will understand where I am coming from! I just got braces 5 days ago and between the flossing nightmares, the discomfort, and the inability to eat, I am wondering what I have done! Thank you for all of the great information you have posted. I look forward to "meeting" you all!

hi alica welcome!
Don't worry we all went through this phase. It it just that, a phase. You're almost at the point where the pain subsides and you learn how 2 chew again and gradually start eating regular food.

I'm about 2months in and trust me, i've made the right decision.

Please feel free 2 ask questions etc.

Hi Alicia,

Welcome to the board!!

You will find great support on here. We all are just like a family. I had my top braces put on on July 19th and I go next Tuesday to have the bottoms done. I know what the pain is like of not eating. Since I had the top put on I have lost 10lbs. I found that out yesterday when I went to the doctor. It will get better soon. Feel free to vent on here as we are always here to listen and help eachother out. I hope everything get better soon. Keep us updated.
