Hi to all,
I am new here and I must say I have enjoyed reading many posts from all of you and I get encouraged...I have had upper and lower (ceramic) braces since July 26, 2007..wow a long time right? I got my lower ceramic braces removed and I am now wearing Invisiliagn...but the upper part I still have another year to go...so the total treatment for my upper teeth is going to be around 48 months...has anyone had a treatment for such a long time.. My orthodontist is excellent and is such a perfectionist...but such along time...!! Now you may ask why is this taking such a long time? I have a shifted midline and it takes a long time to move teeth to the back, one by one... :)

Wow! That is a super-long time. I have an off-midline, too, and now I'm worried that mine will take more than the prescribed 2 years. Would you mind checking out my first post in my story and see if my midline is as "off" as yours? I had one extraction and he's slowly... one by one... moving my teeth over to the left.

(Apparently, my "www" doesn't show up anymore, so here's the link to my story:)

I do know of someone on another board who's had hers for over 5 years, and hopes to get them off very, very soon. She has the patience of Job!!

Catgyrl, looked at your pics, and my midline is much worse than yours. I still have quite a bad crossbite (slowly improving), but the midlines of my upper teeth and lower teeth is off by a tooth-width (lower). I don't mind if it's not perfect at the end, but I do hope it gets a lot better!!

Hi Cathy, sorry for the delay in responding. Yes I did have a look at your pics and mine is a lot worse shape..so don't feel bad...I also had to remove a tooth and add an implant all the way in the back as support in order to move the teeth, now she is in the process of moving the front three teeth, and lets hope it doesn't take such a long time..i will keep you posted..
