Braced on 3/16/05: NOW DEBRACED

Well today i got my braces off! So ill elaborate a little on the procedure. First i came in and sat down (lol). Then the assistant popped off the brackets on my lower arch with this freaky tool. then she removed the powerchain on my upper arch and then snapped off those brackets as well. then she used the same tool (i think) to nudge the band off of my molars. the bottom two came out, no problem, but the top two, ouch my orthodontist had to use his strength to get those off! the assistant scraped the glue off my molars, and then told me to brush my teeth and check for glue. I was all good, so i sat back down and my orthodontist polished the glue off the rest of my teeth. Boy was that cold! i was squirming in the chair! Finally it was over. I brushed my teeth again, and then sat down in the back for impressions. I picked watermelon flavor, which tasted surprisingly good. Anyways, they had just gotten a new formular or whatever, and it was pretty runny. Lucky for me, it didnt fall back into my throat! I picked out my retainers, both upper and lower hawleys. The upper design is pink with yellow polka dots, and the bottom is just plain old pink. I get them next tuesday! I'm excited. My teeth look great! i am so obsessed with my new smile. the only thing i dont like is my gums, but they will go down by next week, or so i've been told. Too bad my attempts to schedule a gingivectomy was unsucessful. these puppies better shrink down, and fast. After I got my braces off, I went and ate a po-boy and some doritos and was pleased to see that there was no food in my teeth! AHH amazing :] Pictures to follow!

As KK already posted many Emoticons I guess I won't do it but anyways CONGRADULATIONS I can't wait for my day to come, ha thats funny its going to be another 1 1/2 - 2 years before I get mine off but I'm looking forward to that date already.
